Claire Byers is a Tasmanian textile designer. She is a graduate of the University of Tasmania’s School of Art where she majored in textiles.
Her scarves and accessories are made in a limited palette of white, black, brown and blue with a sparing use of red. Working with an uncomplicated palette allows her to feature the shape of the cloth in her work.
This year i am selling my work at the wonderful Spacebar Galley in Salamanca, Hobsrt. This work has been made from Tasmanian and Victorian grown superfine merino wool, the best wool in the world.
